As a part of the 2000-2001 AP US History curriculum, students were required to extensively research, learn, and write an essay about a topic relating to or about the 1920-1970 Document Based Question (DBQ) time period. I wanted to choose a topic which I found interesting and would be able to take a opinionated stance on -- no topic fit my criteria better than Richard Nixon's Secret Bombing of Cambodia.

Courtney J. is a student in California, and is often called a history nerd by her friends. She enjoys softball, baseball, tennis, and basketball, and writing long research papers about secret government operations (no wonder she is a fan of the television series The X-Files!). She can be reached at us2001@headroyce.org if you have any comments or questions regarding the paper or the project.

Special Thanks:

I would like to thank my parents for their support and love; my classmates for keeping me entertained and pushing me to work harder; my teacher, Dr. Bradley, for making history come alive and preparing us for the grueling AP exam, and my freshman history teacher, Ms. Feidelman, for inspiring my love of history and Russia.
